John P. Daigneault Memorial Fund Scholarship
The Sakitawak Development Corporation is pleased to announce five scholarships to students of Ile-a-la Crosse pursuing post-secondary education.
John Daigneault was a man dedicated to the youth of the community and served on the School Board for many years. He stressed the importance of education; SDC is committed to providing a scholarship fund in his honour. At the time of his passing, he was on the Board of Directors for the Sakitawak Development Corporation and Council Member for the Northern Village of Ile-a- la Crosse.

Do you qualify for this scholarship?
Local Residency
To apply for the John P. Daigneault Fund Scholarship, you need to be a permanent resident of Ile-a-la-Crosse, Saskatchewan
Continued Studies
Applicants for the scholarship can be continuing studies at a post-secondary institution of their choice
Post-Secondary Admission
Applicants must be admitted into a post secondary institution or university before they are eligible to apply for the scholarship
First Degree
We will prioritize students who are pursuing their initial diploma or degree at a college or university.

Who we are
Sakitawak Development Corporation (SDC)
Sakitawak Development Corporation (SDC), is the economic development corporation for the Northern Village of Ile-a-la-Crosse. Our purpose is to invest in regional and community businesses across multiple sectors with emphasis on creating employment.
SDC’s seven voting board members are appointed by its sole shareholder, the Northern Village of Ile a la Crosse to carry out the operations of SDC. Currently, two are appointed Village Council members and five are members at-large. The Mayor of Ile a la Crosse serves as an ex-officio non-voting board member.
